There are some important dates which Canada Immigration Aspirants all across the world await eagerly. 21st Feb 2017 and 22nd Feb 2017 seems to be 2 out of them. On 21st February 2017, Ontario Provincial Nominations have been opened for candidates officially.

From 21st Feb 2017, Ontario PNP office has officially started applications for –

  1. International Masters Graduate Stream
  2. International PhD Graduate Stream.
  3. Ontario Express Entry Human Capital Priorities Stream

Ontario Human Capital Priorities Stream Criteria

To qualify under Ontario’s Express Entry Human Capital Priorities Stream, you must:

  1. Have a valid profile in the Express Entry pool;
  2. Qualify for either the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP) or the Canadian Experience Class (CEC);
  3. Indicate an interest in immigrating to either Ontario or “All Provinces and Territories” when you create a profile in Express Entry; AND
  4. Have received a Notification of Interest from Ontario through your IRCC online account.

To be eligible to apply, you must meet the following provincial criteria:

  • Work Experience: A minimum of either:
    • one year work experience within the past five years according to the criteria under the Federal Skilled Workers Program
    • one year work experience within the past three years according to the criteria under the Canadian Experience Class
  • Education: Equivalent of a Canadian Bachelor’s degree or above
  • Language: A minimum of Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 7 in English or in French
  • Settlement Funds: A minimum level of savings or income to support you and your family members
  • Intent: An intention to live in Ontario
  • Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) Score: A minimum of 400 points in the CRS of IRCC’s Express Entry system.

HOW TO BECOME ELIGIBLE –

  • When you create a profile in Express Entry, you must indicate your interest in immigrating to either Ontario or “All Provinces and Territories.”
  • OINP searches the Express Entry pool on a regular basis and identifies potential candidates who meet the Human Capital Priorities Stream criteria (see Section 2.0 of the Human Capital Priorities Stream Application Guide for more information).
  • If OINP identifies you in the Express Entry pool, you will receive a Notification of Interest from Ontario through your IRCC online account. This notification will invite you to apply to OINP for nomination under the Human Capital Priorities Stream.
  • To apply, you must submit your application through the OINP e-Filing Portal and ensure that you include all the required supporting documents.

International Students – Masters Graduate Stream

To be eligible to apply for the Masters Graduate Stream, you must meet the following criteria:

  1. Education: Graduated or have met all degree requirements from a Master’s degree program at an eligible publicly-funded university in Ontario and have completed at least one academic year in length on a full-time basis.
  2. Language:
    1. A minimum of Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB)
      1. Level 7 (or above) in English, or
      2. Level 7 (or above) in French
  3. Residency in Ontario: Demonstrate you have resided in Ontario for at least 12 of the last 24 months before the application submission date.
  4. Settlement Funds: A minimum level of savings or income to support you and your family members.
  5. Intent: Intention to reside and work in Ontario.
  6. Residency at Time of Application: Must be residing in Ontario with legal status (i.e., study permit, work permit, visitor record) OR residing outside of Canada. If you currently live in Canada, but outside of Ontario, you do not qualify.
  7. Eligibility Period: Must apply within two years of the date on which your Master’s degree was granted.  This is the date that appears on your diploma.

International Students – PhD Graduate Stream

To be eligible to apply for the PhD Graduate Stream, you must meet the following criteria:

  1. Education: Graduated or have met all degree requirements from a PhD degree program at an eligible publicly-funded university in Ontario and have completed at least two years of study.
  2. Intent: Intention to reside and work in Ontario.
  3. Eligibility Period: Must apply within two years of the date on which your PhD degree was granted.  This is the date that appears on your diploma.
  4. Legal Status in Canada (if applicable): Must have legal status in Canada (i.e., study permit, work permit, visitor record) if currently residing in Canada.
    Not required if you are residing outside of Canada.

OINP 2017 has a cut-off score of 400 and above.

It is expected to accept 6,000 applications for the year 2017.

    You think OINP will still be open for june/july?

    What are my chances to OINP:?
    Bachelors in finance and economics from a canadianuniversity
    No canadian experience (didnt request a pgwp)
    1 year esperience abroad
    CRS 422

    Hello Racahel,
    I saw some of applicants who had less EE score than me have gotten NOI recently.
    Is there any possibility for technical issue that was happening in 2015 , so people had to withdraw their profile and re-create it?
